Naomi and Peter became the first members of the President’s family to tie the knot at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue since President Richard Nixon’s daughter Tricia married Edward Cox in the Rose Garden in June 1971. (More recently, Hillary Clinton’s brother, Anthony Rodham, got married in the Rose Garden in May 1994, and in October 2013, White House photographer Pete Souza also got married in the Rose Garden. Both events were private.) They are just the 19th couple to ever wed at the White House.
