Photographer Thomas Heaton has spent the past two years taking trips to stunning parts of the Lake District, Yorkshire and the Scottish Highlands – and capturing mesmerising images of them. The 31-year-old photographer, who currently lives in Whitley Bay, explains that landscape photography is his passion. His striking shots reveal the beauty of the Lake District’s Buttermere Valley and the mystical Great Gable Mountains.Others show the splendour of golden fields in late Spring in Roseberry Topping in Yorkshire. The landscape photographer said: ‘With regards to autumn, I always head to Northumberland or the Lake District.’Autumn in its full glory is very short lived and can be ruined by a single storm, so the window of opportunity is very short, making it a very special time of year.’
