The City Council member met today at the capital. They are a directly elected council that presides over the city, It is in charge of electing the Mayor–council government system, and budgets of the Municipality of capital. The council is composed of Thirty one members elected on a Plurality-at-large voting system on a four-year terms. The Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Council are chosen by the council at the first regular meetings in odd-numbered years.
