five-star luxurious train launched in Ahvaz

In 1887, during the time of Nasser-al-Din Shah, an 8.7 km 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) metre gauge horse-driven suburban railway was established south of capital, that was later converted to steam. This line was closed in 1952.
