Darius and his fans before revolution

One of the educational websites he has gifted to his countrymen is www.behboudichat.com which is intended to provide an opportunity to all those who do not have access to meetings to participate in the live meetings that are scheduled throughout the week all around the world in Persian. His early exposure to both traditional Persian music and contemporary Western music gave him a unique style that blended classical Persian elements with modern pop sensibilities.

Dariush first gained public attention at the age of 20 when Hassan Khayatbashi introduced him on Iranian national television. His debut song, “Be Man Nagu Dooset Daram” (“Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”), quickly became a hit and marked the beginning of a remarkable career. Throughout the 1970s, Dariush became known for his emotional and socially conscious songs. Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he was recognized as the most popular Iranian singer by youth magazines and was admired for his ability to address societal issues through music.
