His contributions have been recognized by the Self-Help And Recovery Exchange, which selected him to receive the Ron Simmons & Rev, Ronald L. Wright Award, for his outstanding contribution to support group participation by minority communities, the Student Group and UCLA, and many other international organizations worldwide. His politically charged songs, including Jangal, Bonbast, and Booye Gandom, resonated deeply with a generation facing political unrest.

His work consists of over 208 songs in over 27 albums. He has also performed in 2 movies, Dariush’s song Dastaye To (Your Hands) was named as the Most enduring song in Music history by Manoto TV. Following the revolution, Dariush left in 1978, settling in Los Angeles, which became a central hub for theĀ  diaspora. Despite being away from his homeland, he continued to produce music that spoke to the experiences of exiled Iranians, reflecting themes of nostalgia, longing, resilience, and hope.
