A 29-year-old Iranian named Hossein Amir‐Sadeghi, who was known to have vague connections with the Shah’s court, arrived at the Inter‐Continental Hotel to talk with a dozen foreign correspondents. Taking off his natty, cashmere coat, Mr. AmirSadeghi announced crisply that the Shah would leave tomorrow, and would end up in the United States.
