In a 1974 interview which was shown in a documentary titled Crisis in Iran, Mohammad Reza told Mike Wallace that the rumours of corruption were “the most unjust thing that I have heard,” calling them a “cheap accusation” whilst arguing the allegations were not as serious as those regarding other governments, including that of the United States.
