The Information Center of Police announced that an eight-page note has been found in his home stating that he has hanged himself.
Born in December 1949 in Najafabad, located in the central Iranian province of Isfahan, Pourahmad began his career as assistant director in the years prior to the Revolution. In post-revolution years he began to write and direct his own films.
