In addition to her film career, she appeared on numerous American talk shows and in The Muppet Show (1978) and began acting in theater from 1970. Her attempt to capitalize on her film fame to launch a singing career started with a flop. A second attempt to get started in the music industry, supported by Gert Wilden , was an appreciation success. On the folk album Du, Du liegst mir im Herzen she sang in eight languages. A few more music albums followed.
