On Thursday, July 11, 2015, Kayhan newspaper published a letter signed by Bahram Radan, which was addressed to “Mr. Mr. Shariatmadari, the respected managing director of Kayhan newspaper”. This letter was written following strong attacks on Radan by fundamentalist newspapers, including Kayhan, and Radan explained that he wanted to “clarify and explain his opinion” through this letter. Earlier on Wednesday, July 10th, Kayhan newspaper called for the banning and removal of Bahram Radan’s pictures from Iran’s highways. According to this newspaper, Radan has defended the legalization of same-sex marriage in America.
