After that, he concentrated his activities more at the university and was considered one of the most important law professors in Iran, while also becoming a member of the Senate. During the Shah’s last trip, he did not show up at the airport to perform the prayer ceremony, and he left Iran for Switzerland two days after the Shah’s departure in December 1357. He died of cancer in Switzerland on August 13, 1358. He was one of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi’s friends.
