Before performing, actors spend time rehearsing scenes—either alone or with other cast members—to perfect timing, delivery, and movement. Whether on stage or on camera, actors perform scenes multiple times, following direction from the director and adjusting their performance as needed. Acting is a team effort. Actors work closely with directors, producers, writers, costume designers, and other actors to create a cohesive production.
Acting on stage requires projecting emotions and voice to a live audience, while film and TV acting often demands subtle facial expressions and precise timing for close-up shots. Actors may also participate in voice acting, motion capture, commercials, or digital content creation. Some pursue careers in directing, producing, or writing after gaining experience in performance.
