Ashura Khanah is usually decorated with black cloths on which verses of the Quran are written. Inside Ashur House, there are coffins and wooden structures covered with silver sheets and colorful and glittering papers. They are made with imagination and artistic feeling and were built to represent Hussein’s tomb in the plain of Karbala, the Prophet’s tomb in Medina, or even the Taj Mahal in Agra. Next to them are war tools that are believed to have been used by Imam Hossein in Karbala.
