A group of thugs, accompanied by the women of the city, went to the north of the city and captured Mossadegh’s house, and in the middle of the way, they ransacked several government buildings as well as several newspaper offices, including Bakhtar Morooz and the headquarters of the Homeland Party, which was a pamphlet of Mossadegh’s supporters. At around 5:00 PM, the crowd reached the palace street and rushed towards Mossadegh’s house. They reached the house with little resistance from Mossadegh’s bodyguards. It was not even 8:00 p.m. when the Prime Minister’s house was looted by mobs and residents of Shaherno, so even the water taps, tiles, and electric wires were looted.
