Mohammadi Gilani was born into a religious family in 1307 in Dawisara village of Rudsar city in Gilan province. His father, Mohammad Jaafar, lived in the same village. Mohammadi Gilani was forced to leave school after finishing primary school at the beginning of World War II in 1320.
