Who was Hassan Lahuti?

He was one of the clerics who signed the declaration of the Mojahedin’s impurity after announcing the organization’s ideology change. At the peak of the 1357 revolution, he was released along with some other political prisoners, went to Paris, and returned home with Khomeini. His photo can be seen next to him in the famous picture of Khomeini getting off the plane. In Shahrivar 1358, by Khomeini’s decree, Lahoti was assigned to participate in the meetings of the IRGC Supreme Council.

Many high-ranking clerics were concerned about his connection with the People’s Mojahedin Khalq organization and called him a sentimental person. In the fifties, he was connected with one of the members of the organization (Hasan Abrari) by Asadullah Tajrishi, and due to his relationship and financial and political support from the People’s Mojahedin Khalq organization, he was arrested, interrogated, tortured, and imprisoned several times, the last of which was from 1353 to 1357.
