Ruhollah Khaleghi (born 1285; died 21 Aban 1344 AH) was a musician, composer, violinist, and music teacher from Homeland. Khaleghi was one of Alinqi Waziri’s students, and in an era when attention to Persian traditional music had decreased, he played a significant role in preserving and reviving the status of this music with his works and activities. Khaleghi was born in Mahan in Kerman province, but a few months after his birth and after the completion of his father’s mission in Kerman, he went to Capital with his family. As a child, he was introduced to music under the influence of his parents, who both knew how to play music.
