He spent his primary education in Capital, Shiraz, and Isfahan. Although his father was fond of music, he was against choosing this art as a career for his son. However, Ruhollah Khaleghi’s inclination towards music caused him to enroll and study music there when he saw an advertisement for the establishment of the Vaziri Music School. He started teaching at the music school at the age of 19 and, at the same time, continued his studies at the Dar al-Funun and then at the university until he received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and Persian literature.
