He was arrested on the 27th of Bahman in Tehran and transferred to Qasr prison. On May 19, 1358, Sadegh Khalkhali tried him in a 20-minute court and considered the death penalty for him. Then, the next day, Al-Ghaniyan was shot with other prisoners in Qasr prison. All the properties of Habibullah al-Ghaniyan, including the Plasco building and the aluminum building, were confiscated and given to the Foundation of the Underprivileged of the Islamic Revolution, so that the efforts of the survivors to get them back would not be of any use.
