Kambiz Atabay (born 2 February 1939) is a former football administrator who serves as the private secretary to Her Majesty Farah Pahlavi’s office in New York.He was also an athlete and administrator who was President of Asian Football Confederation from 1 August 1976 until his resignation on 9 December 1978. He was also President of Football Federation of Iran from 17 October 1972 to 17 February 1979. Kambiz Atabai, the former head of the Persian Football and Equestrian Federation (before the 1957 revolution), came and went quietly to Homeland last month, and few people knew about his presence in Homeland.
According to a fan report, Kambiz Atabai was the president of our country’s football federation from 1351 to 1357, and during this period, the national team was able to advance to the 1978 World Cup, become the champion of the 1976 Nations Cup, become the champion of the 1974 Asian Games in Capital, and go to the 1976 Olympics. With the revolution in 1979, many of the sporting and administrative structures changed. Atabay’s term at the FFI ended in February 1979.. He is also noted in some sources as serving in other capacities linked to the former royal family.
