More than 20,000 people worked in the complex of factories belonging to the owner. Mohammad Taghi Boshar was born into a business family in Yazd. According to a story, his family were Zoroastrians until the 19th century and then converted to Islam. His family was a very religious family, and his father was one of the biggest and most famous religious merchants in the city. From a young age, he worked in his father’s business in Yazd until he was 18, when he came to Tehran to continue his studies. He did not have much desire to study at the university and did not enter government jobs either. In Tehran, he bought a room in Sarai Omid, opposite the Shah Mosque, and started business.
