According to the New York City medical examiner’s office, the autopsy concluded that Ledger’s cause of death was an unintended overdose from a mixture of prescribed medications. The actor’s passing was attributed to an “acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine.”
