He mostly wrote his own songs and music and performed them in his own style, with guitar and vocals. After finishing his studies, he worked as a journalist and published many articles in English and Farsi. In 1972, he moved from London to Los Angeles and stayed there for four years. Farmarez Aslani returned to his homeland in 1975 and started working for one of the English-language newspapers, the Capital Journal, affiliated with the Information Institute.
