The Immortal Guard was the name of a special unit in the armed forces organization during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah, which was responsible for protecting the royal family, palaces, and related buildings. From 1304 until the end of Reza Shah’s reign, only a small military unit with the talent of an infantry company, which was alternately provided by the 1st and 2nd divisions of the center, was responsible for guarding him and the royal family.
