His father, Alireza Davodenjad, is a director. He has a brother and a sister named Zahra, who is an actress. Davodenjad got engaged to Ghazal Badiei (the sister of actress Asal Badiei) in 2007 and married her in 2009. He said about meeting his wife: “When my sister Zahra was invited to Asal Badi’s house, When he sees Ghazal for the first time, he says to Ghazal, Come be our bride.”
