He said that he regretted doing this because it damaged his health and cost him as much as ten years of military service. Davodenjad had a liver transplant in 2011. He had said that due to his busy schedule, he had not taken the medicine for his liver disease and had to undergo a liver transplant due to the serious condition of his liver.
