The motives of the audience were different, and a group of people chose the shows they wanted to watch because of their political leanings. The forms of society’s acceptance of theater and the political atmosphere ruling the country were the grounds for selecting and performing theatrical works. During this period, the theater had a potential capacity to promote popular politics and the party of individuals towards new parties. It was for this reason that an important part of theatrical activities—translation, writing, and performance—was inspired by the popular political lines of that time, and finally, one of the most important events of this period was the formation of the “National Theater Group” with the aim of achieving plays with an Iranian identity.
