Fazlollah Mehtadi, who was a storyteller who founded the tradition of storytelling for children

Sobhi spent many years of his life collecting and rewriting old Iranian legends and stories, among which we can refer to the books “Legends,”  “Tales of Nations,”  “Ancient Legends,”  “Legends of Bo Ali Sina,” and “Uncle Nowruz.” The tradition of storytelling for children on the radio was founded by Sobhi in Iran. The story-telling program on Friday afternoons continued for 22 years with Sobhi on the National Radio of Iran. This program was widely welcomed by the people. Sobhi asked the young listeners to send him the stories they had heard from the elders in the form of letters. He collected these stories from all over Iran and selected the most worthy narration from each story and rewrote it in a smooth and simple language. Since 1312, he has been teaching Persian language and literature at the High Music Conservatory.
