The funeral ceremony of the father of “Khodadad Azizi”

Coaching Career and Post-Retirement Activities

Following his retirement as a player, Khodadad Azizi transitioned into coaching. In December 2006, he was appointed manager of Aboomoslem, the club where he had begun his career. However, his time as manager was short-lived, and he was replaced in October 2007.

Azizi also had brief coaching stints with Payam Khorasan and Esteghlal Ahvaz, but these roles were similarly short in duration. Despite these brief coaching tenures, Azizi remained involved in Iranian football in various capacities, including working as an advisor and club chairman.

In 2011, Azizi returned to Aboomoslem as head coach, but once again, his time with the club was brief, and he parted ways with them in 2012.
