In a large-scale operation that was carried out under the command of Shahid Soheilian, with the help of God and the company of friends, the Sarpol Zahab garrison was liberated. After that, Shahid Shiroudi said, “Hamid has a very high skill.” In this operation, he was the only pilot who hit the target in a curved manner and succeeded in destroying the enemy’s equipment with just one shot.” Shirodi always asked Hamid, “How can you do this?” While shooting a straight arrow is not so easy and we have to shoot many arrows to hit the target, you can hit the target in a curved way and destroy the tank by shooting each arrow. Hamid answered him with a smile and said, I just threw the arrow. It is God who sends it down on the enemy and destroys their tanks and armored equipment. I know that there is no turning back in this way. But I will go. Susan Rajabian describes her husband’s martyrdom as follows: “As his friends narrated, they said: Before leaving, Hamid told us: I know that there is no turning back on this road. But I will go. Hamidreza’s last mission and flight was in the west of the country, 20 kilometers from the Sarpol Zahab barracks, when he and his co-pilot Saadullah Davrzadeh got involved with the Baathists on the 21st day of Mehr 1959, after 21 days of the war in the Kore Moush area. Sohilian and other members of the team caused countless casualties to the enemy’s tanks and forces in this conflict and caused the enemy to retreat for kilometers.
