In addition to volleyball and football, the Taj organization excelled in wrestling, boxing, basketball, and athletics, among other sports. Its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting sports across the country earned it widespread recognition and respect.

The Impact of the 1979 Revolution

The 1979 Iranian Revolution brought significant political and social changes to the country, and the sports sector was no exception. The Taj Cultural and Sports Organization, with its vast assets and influential presence, was confiscated by the new regime. All its properties and personnel were dissolved, and the assets were transferred to the Iranian Physical Education Organization.

Despite this abrupt end to its operations, the legacy of the Taj organization endured through the Esteghlal Sports Club. Members of the former Taj Tehran Football Club regrouped under the ownership of the Physical Education Organization and continued to participate in sports competitions as Esteghlal. This transition ensured that the rich history and traditions of the Taj organization were preserved and carried forward.
