Childhood and Adolescence
Seyyed Ahmad Mostafavi was born on March 14, 1945, in the city of Qom. After primary school, he chose to continue his studies in modern sciences. He started playing football and, while studying, became a member of the Qom football team and was the team’s captain for a while.
After receiving a diploma in natural sciences, Ahmad Khomeini started studying religious sciences. Of course, before that, and in parallel with studying modern sciences, he had also studied the basics of seminary sciences. Ahmad Khomeini completed two preparatory courses and the seminary level, and while studying, he was also engaged in teaching the previous levels, and after that, he studied courses outside jurisprudence and principles.
Some of his seminary teachers were Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini (courses outside jurisprudence), Seyyed Mustafa Khomeini (outside principles), Mohammad Fazel Lankarani (outside jurisprudence), Seyyed Musa Shabair Zanjani (outside jurisprudence), Mohammad Mohammadi Gilani (explanation of poetry), Gholamreza Rezvani (travel), Seyyed Mohammad Abtahi Kashani (level and outside), Sadegh Khalkhali (level) and Seyyed Mohammad Baqir Soltani.
