Who owns Iran mall? Biography of Ali Ansari, the Iranian multi-billionaire

Dominating the Mobile Phone Industry

Recognizing the growing demand for mobile phones in Iran in the mid-2000s, Ansari strategically entered the telecommunications market. The widespread adoption of mobile phones, driven by Irancell and Hamrah Aval, presented a lucrative opportunity. In 2006, he established the Iranian Mobile Market, which quickly became the country’s leading mobile phone trading hub. This venture significantly increased his wealth, earning him a place among Iran’s richest individuals.

Revolutionizing the Furniture Industry

Ansari further expanded his business empire by venturing into the furniture industry. The Yaftabad Market, previously dominated by “Mahdi Furniture,” experienced a transformation when Ansari entered the scene. His initiative led to the establishment of the “Yaftabad Furniture Market,” which became Iran’s premier furniture shopping center. His efforts not only boosted the local economy but also generated numerous job opportunities. His influence in this sector was further cemented when he became the head of the Furniture and Decoration Association. Today, Yaftabad Market stands as one of Tehran’s most luxurious commercial centers.

Banking and Financial Ventures: Ayandeh Bank

Ansari’s foray into the banking sector was both ambitious and controversial. In 2009, he founded Tat Bank, which initially gained traction but ultimately faced significant regulatory challenges. The bank was accused of failing to meet the Central Bank’s capital requirements, as much of its declared capital was in the form of real estate collateral rather than liquid assets. Consequently, Tat Bank was forced to merge with Salehin Credit Institution and Ati Credit Institution, forming Ayandeh Bank in 2012. Despite rumors of financial instability and speculation about Ansari fleeing the country, he dismissed these claims and continued his financial activities.
