Who owns Iran mall? Biography of Ali Ansari, the Iranian multi-billionaire

Contributions to Sports: Esteghlal Football Club and Cycling Federation

Ansari’s influence extended beyond business into sports. In 2008, following the appointment of Amirreza Vaez Ashtiani as CEO of Esteghlal Club, Ansari joined the club’s board of directors. His financial support played a crucial role in Esteghlal’s success, including their championship victory in May 2009. Later that year, in August, he was elected as the head of the Cycling Federation with 39 votes, further demonstrating his involvement in Iran’s sports administration.

The Iran Mall: A Monumental Achievement

Perhaps Ansari’s most significant achievement is the construction of Iran Mall, the world’s largest shopping center. Located near Chitgar Lake, this grand commercial complex features a car showroom, cinema, hotel, restaurants, waterfalls, an ice rink, a tennis court, and various other entertainment facilities. Unlike traditional shopping malls, Ansari chose not to sell retail spaces but instead opted to lease them, ensuring long-term revenue generation and maintaining control over the complex.
