Eye to Eye Nightmare; Victims of Serial Rapist Confront Him

Detectives began combing through data from the Divar platform, tracking communication logs, and interviewing victims. The breakthrough came when the first complainant recognized a location near the Iran Khodro intersection—where she had initially met the suspect. Surveillance of the area was discreetly initiated.

The Arrest

On March 19, 1403 (March 9, 2025, Gregorian calendar), officers stationed near the Iran Khodro intersection identified a green motorcycle parked in front of the Vazra Carpet shop. The young man riding it bore a strong resemblance to descriptions given by the victims. Detectives approached, confirming his identity before swiftly moving in for the arrest.

During the search, they recovered a cold weapon matching the description provided by the complainants. The suspect, only 23 years old, was taken into custody. The young man, whose name has not been released by authorities at this stage, confessed under interrogation.

“I made a fake account on Divar, pretending to be a normal citizen looking for cleaners or nurses,” he told police. “I targeted women who were alone and needed the money. Then I would call them, arrange a meeting, and pick them up. I used a knife to threaten them when needed.”
