Jewish figure who served in Persian

Hayim’s early education took place in local schools that had begun to expand their curriculum beyond religious instruction. His exceptional aptitude for languages became evident at a young age. He later enrolled at the Ettehad High School in Tehran, which was one of the pioneering educational institutions offering a broader, more modern curriculum. His academic journey eventually led him to the American College of Tehran (later renamed Alborz High School), a prestigious institution headed by Dr. Samuel Jordan, a prominent American educator who played a central role in shaping modern education in Iran.

Hayim’s years at the American College were formative. He mastered English and became deeply interested in Western literature and philosophy, as well as linguistics. He graduated in 1975 (SH), which would be 1896 AD according to the Hijri Solar calendar, although historical chronology indicates a discrepancy—most likely this date refers to his completion of studies in the Gregorian calendar around 1915. Regardless of exact timing, it was during these years that Hayim began cultivating the ideas and tools that would define his legacy.
