Early Life and Background
Seyyed Majid Bani Fatemeh was born in Tehran in 1977 into a family deeply rooted in religious traditions. Growing up in the capital during the post-revolutionary years, he was surrounded by a culture that revered religious ceremonies and the art of noha and eulogy recitation. His family’s devotion to the teachings of the Prophet’s household influenced him from an early age, shaping both his moral character and his artistic sensibilities.
As a child, Majid showed a strong inclination toward religious gatherings. He frequently attended local husseiniyahs (religious halls) and was fascinated by the reciters’ ability to move people through poetry and voice. His talent was recognized early by elders in his community, who encouraged him to continue training his voice and memorizing religious poetry.
