Hadi Marzban’s funeral

In 1986, Marzban stepped into Iranian cinema, appearing in the film “The Forester” directed by Manouchehr Haqqaniparast. Although his film acting career never overshadowed his theatrical work, his presence on screen demonstrated his versatility. The subtlety of expression and controlled delivery he developed on stage translated well into cinema, where he appeared in occasional roles over the years. Yet Marzban never pursued film acting as a primary profession; theater remained his true home, the place where he believed artistic truth could be pursued with the greatest integrity.

Marriage and Artistic Partnership

Hadi Marzban’s personal and artistic life was deeply intertwined with that of Farzaneh Kabuli, the celebrated actress and dancer who became his lifelong partner. Kabuli, trained in classical ballet and modern dance, brought a unique kinetic sensitivity to the stage—something that complemented Marzban’s own attention to visual rhythm and the interplay of movement and stillness.
