Hamid Rasa’i (born August 1, 1968) is an Iranian cleric and politician who is a representative of the 12th term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly from the Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat, Islamshahr and Pardis constituency. He entered the Islamic Consultative Assembly with 485,711 out of a total of 10 million 30 thousand 191 people eligible to vote and participate in the elections (equivalent to 4.8% of the votes in Tehran). He also represented the same constituency in the eighth and ninth terms. He is also a member of the Central Council of the Ammar Headquarters.
He was disqualified from the 10th term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly by the Guardian Council. He was approved for the 11th term, but did not receive enough votes in the elections for this term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly from the Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat, Islamshahr and Pardis constituency. Rasa’i was a supporter of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his first term as president.
Life
Rasai was born in 1968 to a Gilani family in Tehran. He completed his primary and secondary education on Iran Street in Tehran. His commute to the Basij base took him to the fronts of the Iran-Iraq War. After completing his secondary education, he entered the Qom Seminary in 1986. He studied under the guidance of professors Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, Mousavi Tehrani, Masoudi, and Mohammadi, and under the guidance of Makarem Shirazi, Tabrizi, Fazel Lankarani, and Alidoost.
