The Blogger Who Turned Everyday Meals into a Culinary Movement**
The question “Who is Mr. Taster?” may seem simple, yet the story behind the man is layered, entrepreneurial, and deeply tied to the evolution of food content on the internet.
Mr. Taster is the nickname of Hamid Sepidnam, born on February 12, 1977, in Manchester, England. His family temporarily lived there while his father pursued a PhD in electronics. After completing his early childhood in England, Hamid returned to Iran with his family, only to later move back to England as an adult to pursue professional opportunities.
Today, Mr. Taster is recognized as one of the most influential food influencers in Iran and beyond, known for his joyful expressions, adventurous palate, and ability to make viewers feel like they are traveling and tasting with him. But his journey to fame was far from predictable.
Early Life and Education
Although born in England, Sepidnam grew up primarily in Iran, where he later studied computer engineering and received his bachelor’s degree from Islamic Azad University.
In his youth, Hamid wasn’t particularly academically driven. He preferred sports, especially ping pong and futsal, and spent much of his teenage years with friends, exploring food, and nurturing the curiosity that would one day define his career.
His wife, Pegah Sepidnam, remains a significant supporter of his work, accompanying him on many trips and appearing occasionally in his videos.
