Birthday celebration of the son of cinema actor Dariush Asadzadeh

In 1942, Asadzadeh formally began his professional theater career as an actor, writer, and director at major stage venues, including the Nasr Theater and Dehghan Theater in the Lalehzar district, an area known at the time as the heart of popular entertainment. His first professional stage appearance occurred the same year in a production titled Layli and Majnun Comedy, written and directed by Moezdivan Fikri.

The Nasr Theater, where he performed extensively, was the first permanent structure built specifically for classical theater in the country. Over the years, Asadzadeh would become one of its defining figures, contributing not only as a performer but also as a creative force involved in writing, translation, and direction. He embodied the model of the comprehensive theater artist, capable of shaping a production from text to performance.

Despite his growing reputation in artistic circles, Asadzadeh continued to work as an employee of the Ministry of Finance. In 1944, during the premiership of Ahmad Qavam, he officially entered public service. This dual professional life was not without tension. Colleagues often mocked him, referring to him sarcastically as a “singer” rather than a civil servant. Nevertheless, he maintained both careers simultaneously for many years, demonstrating remarkable discipline and resilience.
