Saghar Azizi was born on April 27, 1977, in the city of Shiraz. She is the second child in her family and has one older sister. Her early childhood was deeply affected by tragedy and instability. When she was just one year old, her father passed away, leaving the family without its primary source of emotional and financial support. The loss had a lasting impact not only on the household structure but also on her mother’s mental health.
Following her husband’s death, Azizi’s mother experienced severe psychological distress and was hospitalized for a period of time. This left Saghar and her sister in a vulnerable situation, growing up in an environment marked by uncertainty, emotional absence, and external pressure from extended family members. These formative years shaped her understanding of insecurity, abandonment, and emotional survival—experiences that would later inform the depth of her acting.
Azizi has described her childhood and adolescence as turbulent and painful. She recalls feeling unheard and controlled, particularly during her teenage years. According to her own accounts, some members of her family insisted that she leave school and enter into marriage against her will. This pressure created a sense of entrapment and desperation, pushing her toward drastic decisions at a very young age.
