At one point, unable to endure the constraints placed upon her, Saghar ran away from her family home. She first sought refuge at her grandmother’s house and later stayed with her school principal, who provided temporary protection and support. These experiences reinforced her awareness of authority, refuge, and the fragile line between safety and danger.
Azizi has also spoken candidly about her struggles with mental health during adolescence. She has revealed that she attempted suicide several times, with the first attempt occurring when she was just 13 years old. These admissions reflect not only personal pain but also the lack of emotional and psychological support available to her during those critical years.
Education and Academic Path
Despite the many obstacles she faced, Saghar Azizi continued her education and eventually found direction through art. She pursued university studies in film directing, enrolling at Soure University, an institution known for its focus on cinematic and visual arts. Her choice of field was not accidental; it emerged from a deep desire to express emotion, tell stories, and reclaim control over narrative—both personal and collective.
