Breakthrough in Television

One of Saghar Azizi’s early significant successes on television came in 2003 with the series Lost Innocence. This production marked her first serious and prominent television appearance, in which she played the character “Helen.” The role introduced her to a wider audience and demonstrated her ability to sustain complex emotional arcs over multiple episodes.

As her career progressed, Azizi became increasingly associated with historical and dramatic roles. In 2009, she portrayed “Izzat al-Dawlah,” the sister of Nasser al-Din Shah and the wife of Amir Kabir, in the historical series Salahaye Mussortoeh. This role required extensive preparation, including familiarity with historical context, court etiquette, and the emotional constraints placed on women of that era.

In this series, Azizi appeared alongside prominent veteran actors such as Jamshid Mashayekhi and Mohammad Reza Sharifinia. Working with such established figures further refined her craft and deepened her understanding of professional discipline and performance integrity.
