
On Wednesday, February 28, 1404, the National Archives and Library of Iran hosted a solemn ceremony to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the passing of Ashraf Boroujerdi, a towering intellectual and political figure in the country’s modern history. This event, which gathered a distinguished group of intellectuals, politicians, and family members, was an occasion to reflect on his significant contributions to Persian society and to honor his memory.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of notable figures including Hojatoleslam Saeed Boroujerdi, the son of Ashraf Boroujerdi, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Faezeh Hashemi, Hadi Khaniki, Gholamreza Zarifian, Morteza Nabavi, and Mohammad Ali Nadeizadeh. These individuals, some of whom were close colleagues, family members, or political allies, spoke fondly of Ashraf Boroujerdi’s legacy. His family and relatives also attended the event, providing a personal and intimate connection to the occasion. It was a day to not only remember a leader but to reinforce his place in the long-term narrative of Iran’s history.
