Education and Academic Achievements
Ghalibaf’s educational journey is marked by his specialization in political geography, which he pursued with determination throughout his career. He completed his undergraduate degree in political geography at the University of Tehran, where his academic path would eventually lead to a master’s and later a PhD in the same field. His doctoral dissertation focused on the development of local institutions in Iran during the contemporary period, a subject that combined his academic interests with his experiences in public administration and local governance.
In addition to his political geography studies, Ghalibaf further broadened his skills by completing an Airbus pilot course in France, which added to his diverse qualifications. This unique combination of academic achievements, military training, and leadership roles gave Ghalibaf a distinctive edge in his future political career.
