Teaching women how to ride motorcycles

The final step of the process involves the examination and licensing procedures. After completing the training, women will be required to pass a practical test, which will be administered by Faraja. Once they have successfully completed the training and testing, they will be issued a motorcycle license, which legally permits them to operate a motorcycle.

Addressing Concerns and Clarifying Legal Ambiguities

When asked whether the new resolution applies to all women or only to certain groups, Bayati Tafreshi was clear in his response. He explained that there is no legal prohibition preventing women from riding motorcycles in the country, so the resolution applies universally to all women who wish to pursue this path.

He also took the opportunity to clarify that the resolution is not related to riding heavy vehicles or buses, as these activities have different regulatory frameworks. Instead, the focus here is specifically on motorcycles. This legal distinction is important because it reinforces the fact that women’s rights to mobility and independence are not constrained by any overarching legal restrictions on motorcycle use.
