Education and Artistic Training
Esmat Safavi’s professional formation as an actress began with formal training, which distinguished her from many performers who entered the stage through informal or traditional routes. She studied acting under Ali Daryabighi, a respected figure in theater education. Daryabighi’s acting classes were known for their discipline, emphasis on technique, and commitment to serious dramatic art. Under his guidance, Safavi developed a strong foundation in performance, learning not only how to act but how to understand character, text, and stage presence.
In addition to these classes, Safavi also graduated from the Cpital Acting Conservatory, an institution that played a crucial role in shaping Iran’s modern theater. The conservatory emphasized both theoretical and practical training, exposing students to world drama, Iranian historical plays, voice training, movement, and stagecraft.
