The closing ceremony of the 44th Fajr Film Festival was held on Wednesday evening, February 12, at Vahdat Hall, marking the final chapter of this year’s cinematic celebration. Unlike previous editions that were hosted in other venues, this year’s ceremony took place in one of the capital’s most historic and prestigious cultural halls. The atmosphere was a mixture of anticipation, reflection, and emotion, as filmmakers, actors, producers, journalists, and cultural officials gathered to witness the announcement of the year’s most significant cinematic honors.
The ceremony officially began at around 6:50 PM with the playing of the national anthem of the Islamic Republic, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran. The audience stood in respectful silence, setting a solemn and ceremonial tone for the evening. The hall was filled with distinguished guests from across the film community, many of whom had experienced a challenging year both professionally and personally.
Following the formal opening, a silent music ensemble performed a brief artistic piece.
